Book Release Party at the Alibi Tiki Dive Bar Thursday April 27 4 PM to 7 PM!

I am ready to celebrate the publication of my first book Falling Out of Love With My Career with family, friends and killer Mai Tais at The Alibi in Portland, Oregon!

Please stop by and say hi, buy a book (I’ll have some on site), get a drink and enjoy a classic example of a Portland dive bar.

The Alibi is located at 4024 N Interstate Ave in Portland, we will be gathering there on April 27th from 4 pm – 7 pm.

Important details for you to know about the Alibi: The Alibi is a Tiki dive bar, no server will be coming to your table to get your order, you will need to place all of your food & drink orders at the bar with the bartender, and it is very dark inside of the Alibi – allow about 10 minutes for your eyes to adjust!

Why the Alibi Tiki Dive Bar?

My husband Steven Shomler and I are big believers in the necessity of celebration, and we love dive bars! In fact, the delightful dive bars that abound in Portland were what first inspired me to begin writing in earnest while I was toiling away in my unsatisfying healthcare career.

I still love visiting and writing about dive bars, so it feels most appropriate to be celebrating the launch of my first book at one of my favorite Portland dive bars!

For those unfamiliar with dive bars, you’re in for a Tiki treasure treat! Please remember to be polite and tip well, we have a reputation to uphold in the dive bar community 😉
